The NCAA basketball tournament is living up to everything you always imagined.  I don’t know if you got a chance to watch the University of Virginia men’s basketball game, but one year ago, Virginia was the only #1 seed to ever lose to a 16th seed.  

The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) beat Virginia last year by twenty points.  The Coach of the Virginia Cavaliers, Coach Bennett had to live with that monkey on his back.  He went into the record books, in his 9th year of coaching, at Virginia as the biggest loser of the NCAA tournament.

He used that as motivation.  He carried it with him for a year.  He didn’t hide from it. He stared at it in the eyes and set his sights on a new goal!  He watched the tapes and most likely he set a new goal – – to win!

He is now bringing Virginia back to the Final Four for the 1st time since 1984.  

As we approach the beginning of April, it is not only the beginning of a new month but also the beginning of a new quarter. It’s not too late to set a new goal for today, or for the next year.
