Try These 2 Things to Change Your Mental State

Life is full of ups and downs and sometimes, it’s harder to get back up after falling down. I’ve been there, in fact, we have all been there, but trust me when I say you are much stronger than you think you are. Here are the 2 things I do to lift myself back up again.

Let the sunshine in!

Did you know that sunlight is good for the nervous system? Take time every day to enjoy the sunrise or sunset. The sun has many healing properties and energy. Notice the sky, the clouds, and the air around you. Now take a deep breath.  Take a minute to enjoy and appreciate the beauty all around you. Now take a few seconds to give gratitude and thanks.

Get Moving!

Exercise to look and feel and better. You’ve heard this before, and guess what, it’s true. Movement is the medicine for creating change for a person’s physical, emotional and mental state. To get started, try walking around the block in your neighborhood. If you can’t get outside, try stretching or running in place.

We do not stop exercising because we grow old. We grow old because we stop exercising. Exercising feeds the brain. It increased blood flow and oxygen to the brain which helps increase endorphins which will improve our mood and memory.
