be real

Be Real

The word of the day is Real.  In light of what’s gone on in our country the past few days, shootings in several areas of the country,  I have been relieved at the way many people are reacting in a very real way instead of allowing politics and others to influence their beliefs.

“Say what you feel, it’s not being rude, it’s being real,” is the quote of the day.  You know a lot of times people will say something and just as soon as they say it they will start apologizing.  Why is that? It’s your feelings, the way that you feel. You should have confidence in what you say.

Another great thought about the word Real can be thought of in an acrostic.

Realize

Everyone

Ain’t

Loyal

We all know what is real and who is being real with you and who is not.  You know what relationships you can count on and which ones you can’t.

So many times people act fake.  They say things that they don’t really mean, and they don’t follow through.  In this day and age with social media, it is really easy to just unfollow someone, but it’s not like that in the real world, in our work and relationship worlds.

You have to deal with people who aren’t real in real life, in real time and sometimes that is a challenge.  Especially since there are people that you have to deal with on a regular basis.

It is important to invest in those real relationships, real friendships and not waste your time on fake relationships.
